Liv’s is a family-owned independent lifestyle shop in the heart of Solihull. Born in 2006 from Liv’s lifelong love of beautiful interiors.
Starting small, Liv started by importing vintage furniture, which quickly grew into her first shop in a local shopping village in 2010. Making a name quickly and with husband Michael now on board, there soon was a need for a lot more space, so by 2012 Liv’s had moved to the high street home in Solihull you know today.
Norweigan-born, Liv grew up in Bergen with her Argentinian mum and Norwegian dad. This cultural influence has ensured Liv’s style is a true melting pot which can be felt throughout the store today. Striving to bring you a truly exceptional independent shopping experience and to excite you with authentic, individual products you’ll love as much as she does.
In store you'll find unique furniture, homewares, candles and gifts, all the little things that make a house feel like a home, at prices that won't make you wince.
Liv oversees the shop and relishes in the buying, while husband Michael keeps everything else running. Behind them is a small but mighty team of creatives who help bring the magic to life.
In 2022 Liv and Michael bought a factory in Lincolnshire (Read this story below) which was a step in a brand-new direction for Liv’s and has created an exciting customisable furniture offering for the shop, of timeless Canadian pine furniture to last a lifetime.

The Sherwood Story
Having stocked our much-loved Sherwood furniture collection for many years, in late 2022 we heard the news that the owner was hanging up his apron, to retire and closing the Lincolnshire based factory, to retire.
Concerned at the thought being unable to stock our bestselling furniture collection, we took the leap and bought the factory. This felt like an exciting opportunity for Liv’s, Michael has always loved making things with his hands, and how much extra work could one more business be anyway?
With the Lincolnshire workshop, came a small team of skilled craftspeople who have been passionately making beautiful dining, bedroom and occasional furniture for years.
Our customers love the Sherwood collection because it’s made from solid wood, responsibly sourced from Canada where due to the cold climate, the pine grows slowly making for an exceptionally stable timber. The result is solid furniture built to last - timeless pieces that age with your family and feel like an old friend.
The furniture-making world now our oyster, we realised having our own factory provided complete freedom. Allowing us to be creative and providing an opportunity to realise a vision for our customers, whilst still being very affordable.
So many of our now best-selling products started life as a sketch on the back of an envelope. Now a favourite on the shop floor, our Sherwood cross leg dining table started life when a customer approached us with a photo found on Pinterest of a similar shape table with metal legs, wondering if we could make it entirely from wood. And the rest, as they say, is history.
We’ve introduced a range of painted furniture which is proving increasingly popular too, and sits beautifully next door to the original waxed finish.
